Requirements

Admission Requirements

Applicants seeking to enter the Basic/Advanced Cosmetology Program, Hair Designer Program, or the Nail Technician Program must:

  • Be at least 17 years of age
  • Provide a valid Georgia driver’s license or birth certificate
  • Provide a Social Security card
  • Possess an I-551 or I-555 immigration card (if applicable)
  • Possess a high school diploma or GED
  • Be in good health
  • Receive a positive recommendation from staff interview

Applicants seeking to enter the Cosmetology or Hair Designer Instructor Program must:

  • Be at least 17 years of age
  • Provide a valid Georgia driver’s license or birth certificate
  • Provide a Social Security card
  • Possess an I-551 or I-555 immigration card (if applicable)
  • Possess a high school diploma or GED
  • Be in good health
  • Receive a positive recommendation from staff interview
  • Possess a valid Georgia Master Cosmetology or hair designer license
  • Have at least 12 months work experience in the field

Transfer Students

The Beauty College of America accepts hours from students transferring from any school in the United States. We reserve the right to reject all or part of a student's transfer hours based upon the age or GPA of the student. Transfer students must:

  • Not be enrolled in another school
  • Have earned at least 100 clock/unit hours from the prior school
  • Provide a notarized transcript categorizing the hours and documenting a GPA of at least 75%(C)
  • Meet all course admission requirements
